بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

In the Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

All praise and thanks are due to Allaah, we seek His Help and we seek His Forgiveness. We seek refuge in Him from the evil of our souls and the evil of our actions. Whomsoever Allaah guides then none can misguide him, and whomsoever Allaah misguides then none can guide him. I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, the One Who has no partner and I bear witness that Muhammad (may Allaah’s peace and blessings be upon him) is His servant and Messenger.

“O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person, and from him He created his wife, and from them both He created many men and women and fear Allaah through Whom you demand your mutual rights, and do not cut the relations of the wombs (i.e. the ties of kinship.) Surely, Allaah is Ever an All-Watcher over you.” [Chapter 4: Verse 1]

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ

“O you who believe! Fear Allaah as He should be feared, and die not except as Muslims, having complete submission.” [Chapter 3: Verse 102]

“O you who believe! Keep your duty to Allaah and fear Him, and always speak the truth.  He will direct you to do righteous good deeds and will forgive you your sins. And whomsoever obeys Allaah and His Messenger, he has indeed achieved a great success. [Chapter 33: Verses 70-71]

Then to proceed: Verily the most truthful of speech is the Word of Allaah and the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (may Allaah’s peace and blessings be upon him), and the worst of affairs are the newly invented matters in the Religion and every newly invented matter is an innovation and every innovation is a going astray and every going astray is in the Fire.

Then this website is a collection of the translations of myself, Sa`ad bin Dawud Burbank, dedicated to my parents – rahimahumullaah – whom I bade farewell to with a heavy heart upon their passing; and wished that I had not fallen as short regarding.

May Allaah shower His mercy upon them both abundantly and enter them into Paradise for eternity; verily He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. And may He cause this humble effort of mine to be a source of continuous reward for them both. Aameen.

Assalaamu’alaykum wa rahmatullaah. May Allaah make this effort far more beneficial to your parents rahimahumullaah than anything you could have done for them during their lifetimes. May He allow good deeds to be written for them until Yowmul-Qiyaamah and reunite them with their loved ones in Jannatul-Firdows, aameen…Indeed He is the All Hearer of Supplications.

You didn’t fall short Sa’ad, your parents were very proud of you and happy before they passed away. May Allaah grant them bliss in their graves, reward them for their efforts and kindness.
May Allaah bless, guide and protect you and your brothers and sisters always.
May Allaah join us all together in Jannatul Firdous Aameen.

May Allah accept this effort from you for your parents as continuous charity. And may He enter them both in Jannat Ul Firdaus. And may He unite us all in Jannah on the day of judgement. Aameen.

  4. Umm Abdullaah says:

Any good deed that a Muslim starts during his lifetime, and that is of renewed benefit and ongoing use for the Muslims, will continue to benefit him and augment his record of good deeds, even after his departure – as long as its benefits continue to reach others. Allaah subhanahu wa ta’ala says – “We record that (deeds) which they have put forward and their traces (that which they have left behind).” (Yaa-Seen 36:12)
Abu Hurayrah rahimahullaah reported that Allaah’s Messenger sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: “When a human being dies, all of his deeds are terminated except for three types: an ongoing sadaqah, a knowledge (of Islaam) from which others benefit, and a righteous child who makes du’aa for him.” (Muslim and others).
Abu Qataadah rahimahullaah reported that Allaah’s Messenger sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: “The best that a man can leave behind after his death are three things: a righteous child who makes du’aa for him, an ongoing sadaqah whose rewards continue to reach him, and a knowledge that continues to be implemented after him.” (Ibn Maajah, and others. Verified to be sahih by al-Mundhiri and al-Albaanee).

By you acting upon the teaching of your parents and continuing to carry out their deeds in this life makes you a renewed deed to which they benefit from.
I never met you parents, but have only benefits from the their works, alhamdulillaah and every time I read or see what efforts you put forth on their behalf, I become full with tears and a smile. I am proud. I feel like a proud parent, although you’re not my son.
May Allaah bless you, aid you in continuing your works and grant you righteous children who will continue the legacy of their grandparents.

  5. Uthman says:

Indeed, your father Dawud Burbank, rahimahullah, was a translator par excellence. His translated works even reached me in Nigeria and helped me to benefit from Arabic words and statements of Salafi scholars I never thought could reach me while my command of Arabic was very poor. I pray Allah reward them with the reward of shuhadaa (due to the circumstances of their death) and save them from every torment. May Allah raise us and them together with the prophets, siddiqqoon, matyrs and the righteous slaves and they are the best of companions.

  6. Umm Doaa says:
